Become a participant

Join a youth exchange abroad. Erasmus+ covers travel, food and accommodation — participation is free. Most exchanges last 5–10 days, and you get a Youthpass certificate at the end.

Become a group leader

18+ and responsible? Lead a group of participants, support them before and during the project, and grow your own facilitation skills.

Volunteer with Help in Solidarity

Know how things work here? Speak more than one language? Help answer newcomers' questions, or support our local meetings and outreach — any amount of time helps.

Become an ally 🤝

Help in Solidarity runs on people like you. If you know how life works in Slovakia or elsewhere in the EU — how to register with a doctor, deal with an office, find a flat — you can be an ally to a newcomer or immigrant who is facing those obstacles for the first time. You answer questions from home, in your own time and your own languages; even one answered question can change someone's month.

Who can be an ally?

Locals who know how the system works and want to share that knowledge.
Well-integrated internationals who remember what the first months feel like.
Speakers of any language our communities use — Slovak, English, Ukrainian, Turkish, German and more.
Anyone with a helpful profession — healthcare, education, administration, housing.

How it works

Write to us at solidarityinternationaleu@gmail.com — tell us your age, where you live and what interests you.
We'll invite you to a short chat (online or in person) so we get to know each other.
Before departure you get full preparation — travel, insurance, what to pack, what to expect.
After the project you receive a Youthpass certificate recognising what you learned.

Who we especially welcome

Our projects are designed to be inclusive — and we have a particular strength in involving young people with a migrant background. If cost, distance, language, disability or anything else has kept you from opportunities like this, you are exactly who we want to reach. Tell us what you need and we'll work it out together.
